Royal Palace: Visit of the Royal Palace
It is a tradition: the Royal Palace opens its doors to the public, every summer. The visitors will have access to the most important rooms of the palace, like the Mirror Room with the artwork ‘Heaven of Delight’. The artwork consists of thousands of beetles stuck to the ceiling.
From 26 July to Sunday 5 September 2010, on the Place des Palais of Brussels.

Fair: Brussels Midi Fair
The traditional and enormous Midi Fair stands along the Boulevard du Midi every year.
Hundreds of attractions are there for young and old, some traditional, others the most modern.

Flower Carpet 2010
Every 2 years the Grand Place of Brussels is covered with a flower carpet made of begonias. The carpet of 77 m x 24 m is realized by about 120 volunteers, with nearly one million of begonias.
From Friday 13 to Sunday 15 August 2010 at the Grand-Place in Brussels.

Sound and light show at the Grand-Place
Since 2006, the City celebrates the cultural wealth of the various countries which chair the European Union alternately by shows with sounds and lights. These shows emphasize the musical and cultural heritage of the presiding country. During the summer 2010, Belgium has the presidency of the European Union. Belgian sounds can thus be heard at the Grand-Place and the facade of the City Hall is lighted beautifully.
From 5 July to 30 September 2010, every day at 10:30 pm and at 11 pm on the Grand-Place of Brussels.

Festival: Brussels Summer Festival 2010
A lot of concerts and cultural events will take place on the Place Royale. The festival pass also gives free access to the participating museums in the neighbourhood.
From 13 to 22 August 2010 on and around the Place des Palais.
